Here's another one of my favorite shots that I took of our Valentine's Day decorations. Thanks, IKEA.

Project 365: Picture 49
Again, admiring the sunshine, but from the angle of it passing through our back door window. This is another example of having issues with composition; in my head the shot was great, but when I took it, not so much. But it still looks cool...

Project 365: Picture 48
Our dog loves to lie down on top of our cat house (our cats are gone but the house lives on) and bask in the sunshine. So when I look outside the window I often see this sight. I decided to focus on the window instead of the dog in this shot. As if you couldn't tell.

Project 365: Picture 47
I finally finished binding my second 100 Hour Board book; I think I started sewing this in October or something, and last Saturday I decided I should finish it while I was watching the Olympics. Done and done. Now I just need to make the cover and it will be officially finished. On this binding I tried a double coptic braid, but you can't really tell. And yes, I sewed it on my sweet binding frame.

Stumble: Iconfinder
Sometimes for work I need to find an icon or two. Instead of doing a blind search on the web, why not use Iconfinder? It lets you search 147,000+ icons in one place. So if I searched for Twitter, I'd get a first page that looks like this, with an obvious variety to choose from.

Project 365: Picture 44, 45, 46
What? Picture 44? What happened to days of the week? Well, I've decided that trying to post a picture a day is killing me, considering I have been working more hours in a day than should be allowed. (Picture 45 was obviously the last picture I posted.)
So I'm going to aim for having 365 pictures, not necessarily one per day. I think I won't feel like I'm a failure if I take the task in this viewpoint.
So, here are some pictures that I've taken that I've meant to post for awhile. There are only three that I have on this computer; I have more on my other machine. These were obviously taken over the Valentine's holiday. The first is a picture of snow and slush on my windshield on the way to work one day. The second are the cute See's suckers that my grandma decorated and brought to us for Valentine's Day, and the third are the rice krispy treats that I made for Melanee's birthday at work. My mom had the idea to put on the conversation hearts.

Project 365: So...
Nobody said this project would be easy.
I'll catch up eventually...
Work is kinda slamming me right now. And we all know that is my life! :)

Stumble: This to That (Glue Advice)
This is a fun site. If you're the really crafty type who needs to do a lot of gluing, This to That will give you some recommended methods to do so. For instance, how do you glue glass to styrofoam? Pull down the appropriate pull-down menus, and you'll find out that the strongest recommendation is LePage's Regular Epoxy.
Fun, no?

Project 365: February 15
Dad made Ebelskivers (Danish stuffed pancakes) this morning. I've been wanting him to make them for weeks. Put them with raspberry jam, brown sugar, or powdered sugar. Yum.

Project 365: February 13
My friend, Jessie, and I went to dinner at Rooster Dumpling & Noodle Bar in Provo. They have delightful wontons filled with cheesecake. Yes, cheesecake. And that is blueberry sauce for dipping. So yummy.

I met Seth Godin today. And he signed my Linchpin book.

Ooh, Buzz Backup
I'm glad I'm not the only one who is somewhat annoyed about Buzz. Check out Henry Blodget's article called Wake Up, Google: The World is Really Pissed Off about Buzz.

Project 365: February 10
The marketing director from our Mexico office was in town this week to get some training. He gave me this shot glass as a gift for teaching him about social media. It's very pretty and shows Guadalajara's Instituto Cultural Cabañas. Since I've never been anywhere in Mexico, I asked him what was in the Institute. He said it was a building to celebrate the arts and holds paintings from famous Mexican artists.

Project 365: February 8
So this is another copout post since I didn't actually take this picture on Tuesday--I think that was another crazy day for me. Sorry.
This picture is pretty cool. I took it while I was in California last weekend because I was absolutely energized about photographing this wall. Love it.

The Buzz about Buzz
I have been playing around with Google Buzz, and so far, I only hate the fact that Facebook isn't involved and that all the posts go to my Inbox and my Buzz folder. (There is a way around the second problem--just set up a filter for label:buzz and you're set.) I probably won't use it much on the business side, since I can sync my Twitter and blog posts to run into my Buzz account. I don't think automating for the purpose of saving sanity on one more social site is going to hurt anyone.
To better establish protocol for the future, I've been pulling my business-related Google Reader subscriptions over to my business gmail address that is linked to YouTube and other Google sites, just helping me keep personal life and work life separate. I've been trying to figure out how to become less emotionally attached to my job, in the sense that if something doesn't get approved in time, I don't feel bad and think it is a reflection on me. No, it is just because the person didn't have time to approve it.
Anyway, what do you all think of Google Buzz? It's very unlike me to be an early adopter on anything, but I figured it would be fun to try something new.

Project 365: Back to February 2
I did find a photo from February 2. (I think on February 1 I must have been running around with my head cut off in preparation for my trip and excessive workload, so I understand if I didn't capture a picture on that date.) But, this photo represents five weeks that Stef and I have been attending a makeup class in Sandy. The class is pretty awesome. We have some silly memories from it too.

Stumble: Kuler
I decided I need to pick back up on my Stumble of the Day (posted on Thursdays). Let's face it, I can only do so much social media in one day.
Today's stumble is Kuler, another color scheme site. I like color scheme sites because color schemes are fun, but if someone else designs them for me, it's even better. The best part is that you can incorporate Kuler schemes with Adobe Creative Suite 4.

Invitation: Sneak Peek--Emily's Wedding Invite

On January 30 I posted a picture of Emily for my 365 Project. I ended up helping her finish her wedding announcement design, and I had a lot of fun! I always look forward to any opportunity to play with the Adobe Creative Suite. I won't actually post the invitation yet until it's been mailed out to everyone because I would hate to spoil it, but it really is gorgeous. I guess you could say that these flowers are your sneak peek. Can't wait to see it in real print, Em!

Project 365: February 6
Yeah. I love taking pictures of my niece. My sister and I were trying to take pictures of her in a field. It wasn't really working so I started playing with focal points. But this picture is pretty cool.

My sister received some flowers at her apartment and I had a good time trying to take some good photos of them. This is one of my favorites.

Project 365: February 3
Before I left for California for the weekend, the family and I went to Crown Burger. My brother in law Jake ate Stef's hamburger in the fridge a few months earlier, so she sent him back half of her hamburger with a note.

Project 365: February 1, 2
I was ridiculously busy these two days so I didn't take any pictures. At least not that I can remember. Or locate. If I find some I will post them later.
